During the first months of 2023 I worked with No Name Kitchen as Media & Communications Officer in one of their projects in Serbia. NNK helps people on the move at the borders with EU countries, providing medical assistance, legal support, and basic necessities. At the border between Serbia, Hungary and Croatia I witnessed the results of the pushback policies implemented by the EU to protect its borders, I witnessed the physical and physchological effects of police violence, and I heard countless stories of sufference, courage, and hope.
