BUCKINGHAM STREET

During my second and third years of university I lived at 21 Buckingham Street (Bucks) in Brighton, UK. These have been the happiest years of my life, which I was lucky to share with five fantastic housemates. During this time, I constantly documented our daily life and adventures, always on 35mm film, mostly on an Olympus point and shoot camera. When I developed a roll containing pictures of Bucks life, I would print the pictures and stick the ones I liked the most around the house. Two years later, almost 300 pictures were covering the walls, prompting me to host my first ever photography exhibition in the house itself.
Since many of the photographs were originally taken in there, walking between rooms and looking at the pictures on the walls allowed visitors to see how spaces had changed over time. How Bucks, and us with her, had evolved during our two year stay.
This is just a small selection of those pictures.
